Timeshare Donation

No longer using your timeshare but don’t want the burden of trying to sell it? Donate for a Cause, a non-profit organization, will take care of the time consuming problems involved with selling your timeshare to an interested buyer. You will receive a tax credit for the cost of the timeshare and you will be able to choose IHDI to benefit from your gift.  Visit  www.donateforacause.org for more information or to make a timeshare donation.

    * Make a monthly or annual tax-deductible donation to IHDI (go to www.givingfirst.org)

    * Start an Employee Matching Program through your work

    * Urge your club, business, or organization to support IHDI

    * Organize an event to benefit the Hearing Dogs

    * Include IHDI in your will or other form of bequest

    * Let a person with hearing loss know about IHDI

    * Donate to IHDI through your Combined Federal Campaign, a secure online donation,

       or wish list items

    *Donate craft items and handiwork to sell to our facility tours

    *If you are 70½ or older you can again donate from your Individual Retirement Account   

      (IRA), thanks to a provision of the Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization,

       and Job Creation Act of 2010, which was signed into law December 17, 2010. The act

       also allows charitable distributions made from an IRA in January 2011 to be declared as 

       2010 gifts, should the IRA holder wish to do so.

There are multiple ways to get involved at IHDI but the best way is to donate. IHDI is fully funded by donations and depends on individuals, foundations, service organizations, corporations, clubs, church groups and others for funding. 

With 30-40 Hearing Dogs to train and place each year at a cost of $7,000 each, the search for funding is endless.

Ways to Help

IHDI is recycling through Advantage Cartridge and will receive a donation for each recycled item you donate!

Visit their Web site, www.advantagecartridge.com,  and sign up as a recycler.  At the top of the sign-up page, fill in International Hearing Dog, Inc. as the non-profit organization to receive the check for your recycled items.  Fill in your name and information on the “mail to” line so Advantage Cartridge can send you free packing envelopes, boxes and UPS labels.

The Web site will give you a list of accepted items so be sure to check their list before mailing them in!
